When I walked into Terrain of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, my feet were walking on floating clouds. The greenhouse air was warm & inviting, filled with the soft scent of dirt, plants, & candles. The saturated colors of green & deep orange balanced well with the white washed stone & wood of the building structure. Hand-painted plates, crafted soaps, & specialty drinks sat on the shelves, beckoning me to touch & smell. I walked around the store a few {hundred} times before having lunch with friends at the garden restaurant, & finally selected with care a couple souvenirs to remember my trip by.
In my years of working at Anthropologie {a sister store to Terrain} I’ve become part of a creative community made up of like-minded individuals. I've been able to refine my ability to transform a living space into a purposeful home & create a personal style that's felt more uniquely me. I now understand that creativity can look different to each person & cannot be limited or capped in any way. & I've realized that I can find inspiration & derive my own art from what I make of my experiences, whether it’s an emotion, a relationship, or a simple trip to an out-of-state store.
